UN Company donates 83 brick-laying machines to returnees in Aweil – Sudans Post
AWEIL-The Chairperson of the Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (RRC) in Northern Bahr El Gazal state mentioned on Monday they are going to distribute 83 brick-laying machines donated by the UNDP to hundreds of returnees and susceptible host communities to assist their livelihoods.
The initiative goals to help the returnees in constructing their properties. The majority of those that have returned live in public buildings like church buildings and faculties.
Benson Lual Awach advised Sudans Post on Monday with these machines, returnees would be capable of construct their tukuls.
“We have bricklaying machines that will be provided to the returnees, and we have a policy and a volition to advise them to use the machines properly so that they lay the bricks, construct their permanent tukuls, and leave the facilities where they live, such as churches and schools,” Lual said.
According to Lual, the returnees would promote among the bricks to lift cash to enhance residing customary of their households.
“However, this will eventually generate revenue for them, as some individuals will visit areas with pools or hairs to obtain water for bricks and lay bricks for sale,” he said.
“They can use those water sources and lay bricks for a living by selling some extra bricks”, he urged, since there’s a Hafiir in Maper-Akot-aru and different areas within the counties that have been excavated by highway constructing companies.
He mentioned the machines would assist some susceptible host communities in addition to returnees.
He said that when the distribution technique is finalized, the distribution will begin.
