Saboti Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Caleb Amisi has warned Kenyans in opposition to politicians who’re keen on enjoying tribal playing cards for high management.

Taking to his official X account on Sunday, January 5, 2024, Amisi argued that tribal politics will mess up the nation if not cautioned beforehand.




The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) lawmaker urged Kenyans to be weary of leaders each in authorities and within the opposition, who’re hell-bent to play one group in opposition to the opposite.

“Tribal politics will mess up this country if not cautioned beforehand. Kenyans must be weary of leaders both in government and in opposition who are hell-bent to play one community against the other for top leadership,” Amisi said.

Amisi on politicians

Amisi additional said that dictators and despots thrive in a political setting the place individuals flip in opposition to one another after being incited.

He went forward to warn Kenyans by no means to permit themselves to be incited by politicians to show in opposition to one another on ethnically motivated politics.

According to Amisi, politicians simply make peace and dine collectively as if nothing occurred.

Dear Kenyans, unless you are inherently stupid, never again should you be incited by any leader to hack another Kenya on ethnically motivated politics. Leaders easily make peace and dine together as if nothing happened, but you will have a date with God the Almighty if not ICC,” the lawmaker said.

Gachagua ouster

Amisi’s assertion comes barely three months after former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was faraway from workplace by the use of impeachment following the accusation of being tribal by selling ethnic discrimination and undermining nationwide unity via divisive public statements.

“His public statements promote division and undermine the core values of our Constitution, including unity and inclusiveness. Gachagua’s unilateral remarks contradict the policies we have collectively adopted as a government, damaging our credibility,” Kibwezi West MP Mutuse Mwengi, the mover of Gachagua’s impeachment movement, mentioned.

Gachagua was additionally accused of failing to respect and defend the Constitution, whereas his inflammatory remarks allegedly violated the National Cohesion and Integration Act by selling ethnic hatred.
