Rwanda and Germany signal Frw 30 billion grant settlement for local weather motion – RNA NEWS
The Government of Rwanda has signed a grant settlement with the German Development Bank KfW, representing the German Federal Government, to supply EUR 20.97 million (roughly RWF 30 billion) for the “Green and Gender-Sensitive Public Spaces” undertaking.
This new settlement follows a earlier grant of EUR 20 million, additionally signed between the 2 events, aimed toward supporting reforms in inexperienced financing and investments.

German Ambassador to Rwanda, Heike Uta Dettmann, emphasised the expansion of Rwandan-German improvement cooperation, notably for the reason that institution of the bilateral Climate and Development Partnership in 2022. “This partnership currently exceeds EUR 260 million and is being implemented alongside our Rwandan partners through KfW and GIZ. Today’s signing of implementation arrangements for KfW-funded projects totaling over EUR 40 million further demonstrates the strong commitment of Germany and Rwanda to combat the adverse effects of climate change through concrete actions,” Ambassador Dettmann remarked.
