President Kiir guarantees to provide agriculture first precedence in 2025 – Sudans Submit
JUBA-President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, pledged on Tuesday to provide agriculture prime precedence in an effort to enhance the nation’s meals safety.
In his speech on the New Year’s message, President Kiir instructed the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security to help farmers nationwide as a way to enhance yields.
“In the year 2025, the government will prioritize agriculture to enhance our food security. I am therefore directing that the Ministry of Agriculture double its efforts to support farmers across the country to improve yields,” President Kiir stated on Tuesday.
Kiir directed the Ministry of Roads and Bridges to rehabilitate and assemble roads resulting in Western Equatoria to allow farmers to entry the market.
The President requested the Ministry of Defense to take away all unlawful checkpoints alongside the roads and rivers to ensure the safety and security of vacationers.
