This afternoon at Urugwiro Village, President Kagame obtained a delegation led by African Union (AU) Special Envoy for the Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities, Adama Dieng who’s on a tour of Eastern and Central Africa.
African Union Commission Chairperson, Moussa Faki Mahamat, appointed Adama Dieng because the AU particular envoy through the thirtieth commemoration of the 1994 genocide in opposition to the Tutsi in Rwanda.
The Senegalese jurist is a former UN Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide succeeded by Alice Wairimu Nderitu of Kenya and and a former registrar of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda. (End)
