Sports Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has instructed Kenya U17 gamers to combat with braveness after they tackle Tanzania within the CECAFA zonal Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers on Wednesday, December 18, 2024.

Kenya will probably be in motion for a Group A sport, and the CS has instructed the starlets to play with the spirit that espouses Kenyan braveness.




“Our greatest needs to the Kenya U17 staff as they take to the sphere at present. Play with braveness and showcase the true Kenyan spirit, realizing your entire nation is behind you!

“All the best, champions,” Murkomen stated in an announcement on X.

Kenya will tackle Tanzania at Nakivubo Stadium in Kampala as they begin their qualification journey. Their rivals have already performed as they collected some extent from a 1-1 draw towards Uganda.

Kenya discovered themselves in Group A after CECAFA was pressured to conduct the draw once more following the withdrawal of Burundi and Ethiopia.

A win towards Tanzania will improve Kenya’s probabilities of topping their pool. Head coach Salim Babu stated that the match is not going to be simple, however he’s assured that his costs know the significance of the match.

“We know facing Tanzania will not be an easy task because they already played and drew 1-1 with Uganda. My players understand the significance of this match, and we will go all out to secure a win,” the previous Police FC head coach stated as quoted by a neighborhood publication.

Two groups that can prime every group will progress to the semi-finals, and the finalists will earn qualification to the AFCON finals in 2025.
