Saboti Member of Parliament (MP) Caleb Amisi has defended Trans-Nzoia Governor George Natembeya after he was publicly criticised by Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah.
Ichung’wah directed his criticism to the governor when he was given an opportunity to talk through the burial of Moses Wetang’ula’s mom in Bungoma on Friday, January 3, 2025.
Natembeya had requested President William Ruto to finish the reported abductions of youth, however Ichung’wah mentioned the governor has no ethical authority to make such a name.
The National Assembly Majority Leader even linked Natembeya to abductions that occurred when he was Rift Valley’s regional commissioner.
“The nice folks of Bungoma, it is best to by no means enable your little kids to be abused, humiliated, or maligned by strangers who don’t perceive the atrocities meted out to folks of western for a very long time.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) legislator additionally added his voice on the reported disappearance of the youth deemed critics of the federal government.
“Let’s all stop using abductions as convenient political fodder, whether in support or in opposition, and preserve the legitimacy of the state and sovereignty of the great people of Kenya,” Amisi added.
