Deputy President Kithure Kindiki on Sunday, December 5, 2025, attended his first church service of the 12 months, with a handful of politicians largely from the Mt Kenya area.
Kindiki, who claimed that President William Ruto had given him some off days, has been lacking from a number of capabilities the place his boss is current.
Kindiki made his first public look of 2025 on Saturday, December 4, 2024, when he joined the household of Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano in the course of the wedding ceremony of their son Peter and his bride Wambui.
On Sunday, he made his second look throughout a thanks giving service at Full Gospel Church, Kamumu, Mbeere North, Embu County.
During the service, he was accompanied by Embu Senator Alexander Mundigi, MPs Geoffrey Ruku(Mbeere North), Patrick Munene(Chuka Igambang’ombe) Nimrod Mbai(Kitui East) George Gitonga Murugara(Tharaka) Reuben Kiborek( Mogotio) Eric Wamumbi(Mathira) Japhet Nyakundi (Kitutu Chache North) Josiah Muriithi (Speaker of Embu County Assembly) Members of Embu County Assembly and different leaders.
“On this first Sunday of the year we thank God for last year and thank him more for the strength, focus and clarity of mind that we require to make our individual and collective contributions to nation building. Privileged to join other faithfuls for Sunday worship and thanks giving service at Full Gospel Church, Kamumu, Mbeere North, Embu County,” he said after the service.
Kindiki’s message
On Saturday, Kindiki dismissed claims of a fallout between him and President William Ruto, saying he had merely taken a brief break.
He urged Kenyans to ignore rumours of discord, emphasizing his dedication to supporting President Ruto and the federal government’s improvement agenda.
The Deputy President expressed gratitude to President Ruto for permitting him a while off to recharge.
“I’m left with a few hours. My holiday is coming to an end, therefore I need to enjoy what is left of it. Ignore everything else completely. Don’t fall into the trap of triviality and small issues,” Kindiki said.
Adding;
“We have a business. I’m glad that the president allowed me a few days off. I feel so energized and I believe this is the year that we will rally and support the president and take Kenya to the next level.”
