NAIROBI, Kenya, January 3, 2025 – Tears flowed freely as household and buddies gathered to say their goodbyes to volleyball icon Janet Wanja on the Lang’ata Cemetery on Friday afternoon.

The burial ceremony was a personal one, attended by her shut buddies, together with former Malkia Strikers teammates and Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) officers — along with relations.

The ceremony was preceded by a memorial service on the Kasarani Gymnasium on Thursday throughout which the 40-year-old was eulogised as a passionate and chronic skilled who was ever easy-going and pleasant in the direction of all.
